SUMMER has finally arrived!! For most schools, today is the last day! What does that mean for you, the parent? Time to find the perfect summer camp. Luckily, we live in an area with terrific options that both you and your child will love.

At Farragut, summer means jump right in! Our campers get a glimpse of the “awesome” that happens here all year long. Day camps include Little Captains (PreK-6th), Little Explorers (PreK-2nd), STEM (4th-7th), Coed Basketball (6th-11th), and Writing (4th-8th). Summer@Farragut is a unique six-week summer boarding and day program for teens entering grades 8-12. They will attend college-prep classes and participate in fun activities while living in campus dormitories at Admiral Farragut Academy in St. Petersburg. Online courses also available.

Meet a sea of friends this summer! AquaCamps at The Florida Aquarium include science explorations, tours throughout the Aquarium, water play, arts and crafts, and much more. A variety of fun and engaging camp themes are offered for ages 3-18.

48-acre Camp Wai Lani sits just off St. Joseph Sound, behind walls of mangroves teeming with life. This marine science destination is where generations of girls have learned about Florida sea life and the importance of protecting our precious natural resources while enjoying traditional camp activities. From its ever-popular raised cabins, to the new challenge course, she’ll experience challenging activities and learning opportunities.

Spend summer on the water learning to sail, windsurf and paddle!

 

Camp Awesome is a sailing program dedicated to teaching children who have high functioning Autism or Asperger’s syndrome.  Camp Awesome can also cater to youth with high functioning special needs.

Campers ages 9– 16 will be working with instructors who are U.S Sailing trained.

Camp Awesome was recognized as the  “2012 Outstanding Program for Disabled Sailors.” at the US Sailing National Sailing Programs Symposium.

CCSC encourages all parents to schedule a visit prior to their session to ensure that  Camp Awesome is a good fit for each child.
